Hangars & Parking Options

In order to accommodate a variety of aircraft and storage needs, DKX offers multiple hangars and parking options, including t-hangars, shade ports, community hangars and tie-down spaces. Due to the high demand for hangar space at DKX, the wait time for rental space could be extensive.

Community Hangars

DKX has three community hangars, with two of those spaces being enclosed and heated. These hangars are a shared space designed to fit a variety of aircraft types.

  • Rental Fees:
    • $0.49 per square foot per month for enclosed hangars
    • $0.35 per square foot per month for an unenclosed hangar

Shade Ports

DKX has more than 30 shade ports, which offer covered parking for a variety of aircraft types.

  • Rental Fee:
    • $290 per month
  • Availability: Currently on waitlist
Tie-Down Spaces

DKX offers several tie-down options for a variety of aircraft based on size, type and length of stay.

  • Rental Fees:
    • $115 per month
    • $20 per day for single engine
    • $35 per day for twin engine
    • First day fee is waived with fuel purchase.

T-Hangars

DKX has more than 40 t-hangars that offer enclosed hangar space.
Rental Fees:
$560 per month (Standard)
$598 per month (Large)

Amenities

PILOTS AND AIRPORT VISITORS HAVE ACCESS TO:

  • Lobby & Business Center – Seating, TV, WiFi, computer, printer, fax services, phone charging station, snacks and drink station
  • Merchandise Center – Full line of pilot supplies and DKX-branded items
  • Private Crew Lounge – Sofa and recliners, TV, microwave and computer (includes WSI Pilotbrief)
  • Conference Room – Conference table with seating for 10, teleconferencing phone, video conferencing equipment, whiteboard, Wall Monitor for presentations.
  • Ground Transportation – Courtesy vehicles available on a first-come, first-served basis for a maximum use of two hours
  • Restroom Facilities

Airport Layout

Located on a 166-acre island surrounded by the Tennessee River, DKX has a 3,500-foot runway, 2,750-square-foot terminal building and more than 130,000 square feet of hangar and parking space for based pilots and tenants.

Aircraft Maintenance and Repair

Xpress Aircraft Maintenance is based on the island and offers a variety of quality aircraft maintenance services. Xpress is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday) and provides the following maintenance:

  • Servicing Part 91 and Part 135 aircraft
  • Servicing piston and turbine engine aircraft
  • Annuals
  • 100 hours
  • Service and repair of brakes, tires, landing gear control surfaces and more
  • Oxygen and nitrogen service
  • Pre-buy inspections
  • Ground transportation to and from the airport
