Xpress Aircraft Maintenance is the only certified maintenance provider for general aviation (GA) aircraft at Downtown Island Airport (DKX). Located on the backside of the main terminal, Xpress serves as one of only two maintenance facilities in the Knoxville area with the other located at McGhee Tyson Airport. Owned by Darrel Haynes and operated by Director of Maintenance, Adam Bratcher, Xpress serves a large network of customers ranging as far north as New York to as south as Florida. Traditional customers are within a three-hour driving radius. Xpress’ services cater to the majority of GA planes in the sky today. Some of these include but are not limited to, Cessna, Pilatus, Beechcraft, Cirrus, etc.
Xpress provides regular service to most of the local flying organizations that you may have seen or heard of. These include Fast Track Flight Training, Knoxville Flight Training, CAVU, Flight Choice, Smokey Mountain Charter, Knoxville Flyers, architectures, and other personal planes within the region. Xpress has served as a major contributor to the local and regional aviation industry since 2011 as a charter and maintenance provider and in 2015 changed over to strictly a maintenance.
